Abstract:Objective To evaluate the methods and clinical effects of anchor fixation with MESH ( Polypropylence Mesh ) in the reconstruction of Achilles tendon after tumor resection. Methods Methods and clinical effects of anchor fixation with MESH in the reconstruction of Achilles tendon after tumor resection were evaluated. Combining with domestic similar clinical practice, surgery indications, methods and therapeutic effects were summarized. Results Wound healing by the first intention was achieved in all 5 patients. No infection or non-healing was observed. All the 5 patients were followed up for 3 months to 2 years, with an average of 12 months. Conclusions Anchor fixation with MESH can bridge the calcaneus and soft tissues of the triceps surae, which reconstructs limb functions.
