Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of ankle fracture blocks after the surgical fixation on joint functional recovery after the ankle fracture. Methods From June 2012 to June 2014, 60 patients with ankle fractures were randomly selected. All patients were randomly divided into 2 groups: the observation group, the control group. Patients in the observation group received ankle fixation, while the control group not. After the treatment, fracture reduction, osteoarthritis and ankle joint function were compared and evaluated. Results The average healing time of the observation group was shorter with statistical significance ( P < 0.05 ). Clinical manifestation, osteoarthritis and fracture reduction were better in the observation group with statistical significance ( P < 0.05 ). The total excellent and good rate was 96.67% in the observation group and 63.33% in the control group, with statistical significance ( P < 0.05 ). Manual reduction, internal fixation, osteoarthritis in type I and type II fractures were compared, with no statistical significance ( P > 0.05 ). Results of internal fixation were better. Clinical results, osteoarthritis and fracture reduction were better in type III and IV fractures. All fractures healed at stage I. No related complications were found. X-ray showed clear bone healing. The average healing time of the observation group was relatively short. Conclusions Ankle block internal fixation can effectively promote the recovery of the function and avoid the occurrence of adverse effects. The accurate judgement of the fracture type can effectively improve the prognosis and the quality of the restoration.
