A clinical effect analysis of open reduction and internal ifxation of Mason II and III radial head fractures

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of open reduction and internal ifxation of Mason II and III radial head fractures.Methods From January July 2011 to June 2015, 31 patients with radial head fractures were chosen, including nail group ( 23 cases ) and locking-plate group ( 8 cases ). Outcomes were evaluated and analyzed. Results Thirty-one patients were followed up for 5 - 24 months, with an average of 13.1 months. According to the Meraizea Elbow Function standard, 27 cases were good with the proportion of 87.1%, and 4 cases were normal. Conclusions Open reduction and internal ifxation of Mason II and III radial head fractures with nail or locking-plate can get good outcomes.
