Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effects of double-bundle allograft tendon reconstruction of posterior cruciate ligament ( PCL ) with double-femur-tunnel and remnant preservation. Methods From January 2011 to January 2012, 56 patients with PCL rupture were treated by double-bundle allograft tendon reconstruction of PCL with double-femur-tunnel and remnant preservation. Their average age was 32.7 years old ( range: 18-52 years ). There were 30 males and 26 females. The preoperative International Knee Documentation Committee ( IKDC ) score was ( 46.6±3.7 ), and the Lysholm score was ( 50.5±4.2 ).Results All the patients were followed up for an average period of 14.6 months ( range: 12-18 months ). The postoperative IKDC score was ( 89.2±2.3 ), and the Lysholm score was ( 91.5±2.7 ).Conclusions The function and stability of the knee will be effectively improved by double-bundle allograft tendon reconstruction of PCL with double-femur-tunnel and remnant preservation.
