Minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion(MIS TLIF)in treatment of degenerative diseases of lumbosacral spine compared to modified open TLIF:a prospective randomised controlled study
Kalina R
Abstract:Lumbar degenerative diseases are common orthopedic conditions, including degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, segmental instability, etc. The transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) has become a common surgical option for patients requiring fusion treatment. In recent years, with the development of minimally invasive techniques, minimally invasive TLIF (MIS TLIF) has been gradually promoted due to its advantages of less tissue damage and faster postoperative recovery. However, the long-term efficacy differences between MIS TLIF and modified open TLIF (Wiltse approach) still require evidence-based medical support.
