A Retrospective Study on Cervical Disc Displacement in Military Pilots
Abstract:Cervical disc displacement (CDD) is an important cause of medical disqualification for U.S. pilots and affects the operational capability of the military. By querying the Department of Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED), this retrospective study included cases of first-time diagnosis of CDD among active-duty military pilots and non-pilot officers (ground control group) from 2007 to 2015, systematically analyzing the epidemiological characteristics of CDD among different types of pilots.
