Reserach progress of minimally invasive posterior atlantoaxial spine surgery

Abstract：Minimally invasive posterior atlantoaxial spine surgery has been attracting attention from spine surgeons in recent years because of its advantages of less trauma,faster recovery,and fewer complications.This article describes the anatomy and physiological function of the atlantoaxial spine,introduces the development history of posterior atlantoaxial surgery,and summarizes the advantages,principles,steps and clinical applications of minimally invasive posterior atlantoaxial surgical technique,and shows its broad prospects in the treatment of atlantoaxial diseases.
