Abstract:As a widely adopted detection method in the field of gene sequencing, metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) technology demonstrates higher efficiency compared to traditional methods and excels in the discovery of new and rare pathogens. For bone infections diseases, the rapid and accurate identification of pathogens is crucial for improving treatment success rates. Studies both domestically and internationally have confirmed the value of mNGS in detecting pathogens in these diseases. In this paper, the current researches on the use of mNGS for pathogen detection in bone infectious diseases are reviewed, and the key problems and solutions in clinical application are proposed, aiming to provide a reference for improving laboratory diagnostics for such conditions.
