Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of full-course Swiss ball core dynamic training on functional recovery of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods A total of 200 patients who underwent TKA procedures in Emergency General Hospital from January 2020 to July 2023,were randomly divided into two groups according to random number method(n=100).In control group, patients were performed routine nursing rehabilitation programme, and in observation group, patients were performed whole-course Swiss ball core dynamic training rehabilitation programme based on regular nursing scheme.Differences of clinical effects were compared between two groups based on faces pain scale-revised(FPS-R)score,American Hospital of Special Surgery(HSS)score, range of motion(ROM)of knee joint,Berg balance scale(BBS),hamstrings/quadriceps strength ratio(H/Q),peak moment(PT)of flexor muscles and extensor muscles,Tampa scale of kinesiophobia-11(TSK-11)and incidence of postoperative complications. Results FPS-R scores between the two groups at 2,4,8,12,24 h postoperatively did not differ significantly(P>0.05);At the time of discharge, and 1,3 months after discharge,HSS scores,ROM of knee joint and BBS in two groups all improved when compared with preoperative ones, and the above indexes in observation group were better than those in control group(P<0.05).At 3 months postoperatively,H/Q and PT of flexor muscles and extensor muscles of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and TSK-11 at the time of discharge was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Exercise compliance was higher in the observation group than that in the control group(P<0.05);There was no statistical difference in postoperative complication rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Without increasing pain, the application of Swiss ball core dynamic training in the whole course of rehabilitation for TKA patients could facilitate the patients'knee joint function, enhance balance function and core muscle strength, and reduce the level of kinesiophobia after the surgery and the discharge.
