Abstract:Objective To investigate the intervention effect of early bed resistance exercise on postoperative rehabilitation nursing in aged patients with osteoporotic fracture who received vertebroplasty. Methods Ninety senile patients with osteoporotic fracture, who treated in the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from January 2023 to December 2023 and received vertebroplasty, were randomly divided into research group and control group(n=45).Patients in control group were performed traditional postoperative rehabilitation nursing program, while in research group, received early bed resistance exercise based on the traditional program.Postoperative hospital stay in two groups were recorded,Oswestry disability index(ODI),visual analogue scale(VAS)score, dominant grip strength, the score of simple body function assessment method at 4 d postoperatively(after rehabilitation exercises)were compared between the two groups, and the safety of early bed resistance exercise was evaluated. Results Postoperative hospital stay was similar in two groups(P>0.05);ODI and VAS score at 4 d postoperatively in two groups were better than those before the surgery, the differences between preoperation and postoperation had statistical significance(P<0.05).At 4 d after the surgery, dominant grip strength in research group was improved compared with that before the surgery(P<0.05),while there was no statistical difference in control group between preoperation and postoperation(P>0.05).After rehabilitaion intervention,ODI and the score of simple body function assessment method in research group were better than those in control group(P<0.05).During the rehabilitation exercises, the fluctuation of heart rate and blood pressure were all lower than 20%in two groups,VAS score was similar and no adverse event was found in two groups. Conclusion Early bed resistance exercise can effectively improve the postoperative rehabilitation nursing effects, and promote the rapid recovery of postoperative function for senile osteoporotic fracture patients who performed vertebroplasty with good safety.
