Analysis on epidemiological characteristics of injury cases monitoring among working-age population in Fuyang District of Hangzhou from 2018 to 2022

Abstract:Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of injuries among the working-age population,to provide the basis for the formulation of relevant prevention and control strategies.Methods To collect consultation cases from three sentinel hospitals in Fuyang District from 2018 to 2022,carry out and descriptive analysis on the occurrence characteristics among 16-59 years old population.Results A total of 48 203 injury cases were reported during the 5 years,the ratio of men to women was 1.43∶1,mainly in the>44-59 age group.The rate of injuries occurred in July was the highest(10.14%),the major injuries were stab and cut(22.13%),and fall(21.45%),most of the injuries occurred in the workplace(41.99%),the injuries were mainly located in the lower limbs(33.96%)and upper limbs(30.07%),the degree of injury was mostly slight superficial injury,and the outcome was mainly to go home after wound treatment.There were significant differences in injury occurrence month,cause,injury place,location and outcome of injury in cases of different genders and ages(P<0.001).Conclusions Male and old age of working-age population should be the focus of injury intervention.At the same time,comprehensive intervention and diversified preventive measures should be taken according to the characteristics of injury occurrence among the working-age population of different genders and ages.
