Analysis on current situation and influencing factors of recurrence risk perception in elderly stroke patients

Abstract:Objective To understand the perception level of recurrence risk in elderly stroke patients,analyze the influencing factors,and provide reference for the secondary prevention of stroke.Methods The stroke patients aged above 60 admitted to Hangzhou First People's Hospital from January to June 2024 were selected as the convenience sample,the general data questionnaire was used to collect demographic information,clinical data,using the Stroke Recurrence Risk Perception Scale and the Stroke Health Literacy Scale to assess patients' recurrence risk perception and health literacy levels,using multiple linear regression to analyze the influencing factors of recurrence risk perception level of patients.Results The average score of recurrence risk perception in elderly stroke patients was(32.05±7.10);women,city residence,stroke times ≥ 2,education level was high school or above,participated in risk communication education,and high health literacy were protective factors for the level of recurrence risk perception in elderly stroke patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The level of recurrence risk perception of elderly stroke patients is low.It is suggested to implement personalized health education and actively carry out risk communication to improve the level of recurrence risk perception of patients.
