Study on the current situation of health resource allocation and supply side forecasting in Yantai

Abstract:Objective To analyze the existing problems and reasons for the allocation of health resources to secondary and tertiary medical institutions in Yantai from a zoning perspective,and to forecast the supply of health resources and population development in the city.Methods The current situation of health resource allocation in secondary and tertiary medical institutions in Yantai was evaluated by the Gini coefficient and health resource agglomeration.Based on the health resource data of Yantai City from 2008 to 2022,a gray GM(1,1)model was applied to predict the health resource supply of the city's medical institutions and the growth of the resident population up to 2030.Results In the 5 districts and 6 counties of Yantai,the Gini coefficient of secondary and tertiary medical institutions health resources population,the number of beds in geographic perspective,and the number of medical institutions were 0.175 8,0.253 1 and 0.420 4,0.461 9,respectively,from 2023 to 2030,health resources in Yantai showed a steady upward trend,with an average annual growth rate of 3.11%to 6.18%.Conclusions Relevant departments should formulate reasonable spatial planning objectives for health resources,emphasize spatial equity,expand the geographic area coverage of health resources,and improve the radiation-driven role of the central city.
