Analysis of high-frequency hearing loss and influencing factors of noise-exposed workers in Taizhou City

Abstract:Objective To understand the current situation of occupational noise hazards in Taizhou,and to provide a basis for the formulation of prevention and control policies.Methods The occupational health examination case sheets of 72 642 on-the-job noise-exposed workers in Taizhou City in 2022 was derived from the Occupational Disease and Health Hazards Surveillance Information System of China Disease Prevention and Control Information System to analyze the detection of high-frequency hearing loss and influencing factors.Results The detection rate of high-frequency hearing loss among 72 642 on-the-job noise-exposed workers in Taizhou City in 2022 was 9.13%,which was statistically different between different regions(x2=659.468,P<0.01).Male(OR=1.968),private economic enterprises(OR=2.188),medium,small and micro enterprises(OR=1.272,1.742,1.927),3 to<10 years and ≥ 10 years of service(OR=1.133,1.234)were the risk factors for detection of high-frequency hearing loss.Conclusion The situation of occupational noise hazards in Taizhou is not optimistic.The health department should strengthen the supervision of key enterprises(private economy,medium,small and micro-enterprises),improve the occupational health literacy level of key populations(long working age,males),and implement the work related to occupational health guardianship,so as to reduce the level of occupational noise hazards.
