Research on scenario identification and governance pathways for the prevention and control of sudden major infectious diseases

Abstract:Objective To identify the characteristics of the elements of the prevention and control scenarios of sudden major infectious diseases,and propose scientific management.Methods Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 118 front-line personnel or supervisors from 96 grass-roots community prevention and control subjects who personally participated in epidemic prevention and control.Results In the open coding,71,86 and 30 initial categories were formed in the initial scenario,middle scenario,and ending scenario,respectively.In the principal axis coding,18,20 and 12 main categories were formed in the initial scenario,middle scenario and ending scenario,respectively.Three main core categories were formed in the selective coding:scenario consequences(social psychological,pressure,business impact,workload)scenario state(working mechanism,personnel situation,material situation)and response measures.Conclusion The initial scenario is to refine preventive and preparedness measures,and proactively plan for risk avoidance;the intermediate scenario is to systematize response and disposal measures to improve response efficiency;the ending scenario is a summary of prevention and control experience,timely assessment of risks,and comprehensive planning.
