Analysis on the changes of health literacy status and influencing factors among residents in Qingdao City from 2021 to 2022

Abstract：Objective To analyze the development trend and changes of the health literacy level of the residents in Qingdao from 2021 to 2022,in order to provide scientific methods and effective support to develop healthy lifestyles,behaviors and to master good health skills for the residents.Methods With stratified multi-stage simple random sampling method,6 000 and 15 950 permanent residents aged from 15 to 69 were selected for questionnaire surveys in 2021 and 2022,respectively.Using logistic regression to analyze the influencing factors.Results In 2022,the health literacy level of Qingdao residents reached 32.17％,with an increase of 4.37 percentage points compared to 2021(27.80％,P＜0.001).Residence,age,educational level and occupation had important effects on the health literacy level(x2=154.50,428.62,853.88 and 566.85,respectively,P＜0.001).Conclusion It is the key task in the future to promote the health education level for the groups of the aged over 64 to 69,the less-educated,the rural residents and so on,and to integrate health into all policies and continuously improve the health skills and management ability of the people.
