Analysis of the current status and influencing factors of nursing staff's ability to respond to public health emergencies in Sanmen County,Zhejiang Province

Abstract:Objective To analysis the current status and influencing factors of nursing staff's ability to respond to public health emergencies in Sanmen County,Zhejiang Province,and to provide a scientific basis for the implementation of safety management strategies.Methods In June 2023,36 obstetric nursing staff in the Sanmen People's Hospital were selected as the respondents,and a questionnaire was used to investigate the current status of respondents'ability to respond to public health emergencies,and binary Logistic regression was used to analyze the factors affecting the emergency response ability of obstetric nursing staff.Results According to the questionnaire investigation results,the respondents were divided into the group with poor emergency response capability(n=17)and the group with good emergency response capability(n=19).The proportion of the group with poor emergency capability who failured to participate in emergency capability training and lacked of willingness to participate in training was higher than that of the group with good emergency capability(P<0.05).Conclusion There is still room for improvement in the emergency response capacity of obstetric nursing staff in the Sanmen People's Hospital,and emphasis should be placed on strengthening safety management training for obstetric nursing staff with lower years of experience,those who have not participated in emergency response training,and those who are lack of willing to participate in the training,so as to further improve the emergency response capacity of obstetric nursing staff in the face of public health emergencies.
