Abstract:Infectious disease hospitals are the pivotal part of the construction and development of disease control in our country.Through literature review and interviews, concludes that the development of China's infectious disease hospitals has mainly gone through four stages:rapid development, stagnation, bottleneck, and high-quality development.Their functional positioning is continually adjusted in response to the changing spectrum of diseases and the health needs of patients. However, they currently face developmental issues in areas such as lack of talent, lack of comprehensive capabilities, and operational difficulties. Therefore, this article suggests that the central government should increase its focus on infectious disease hospitals, clarify top-level design and ensure investment mechanisms.Local governments should formulate local policies for the development of infectious disease hospitals and strengthen the construction of disease prevention and control systems.Hospitals need to seize new opportunities for reform and development and strengthen their professional capacity-building.
