Research on equity of medical resource allocation in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Guangzhou based on Gini coefficient and Thiel index

Abstract:Objective To understand the fairness of medical resource allocation in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Guangzhou and provide a basis for further optimizing its allocation.Methods Using Gini coefficient and Thiel index to comprehensively evaluate the fairness of medical resources allocation of traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Guangzhou based on population and geographical area from 2007 to 2018.Results From 2007 to 2018,the Gini coefficients of various medical resource indicators in traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Guangzhou were between 0.400 0<0.600 0 and>0.7 based on population and geographical area allocation,respectively,and both were continuously decreasing;in the Tael index configured by population,the contribution rate of most evaluation index differences in the region was mainly located between 0.10-0.20,while in the Tael index configured by geographical area,the differences in the region of medical resources were less than the regional differences.Conclusion The fairness of medical resource allocation in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Guangzhou is constantly improving,and the fairness of medical resource allocation according to population is better than geographical fairness.Differences in the region are the main reason for affecting the fairness of medical resource allocation in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals,while regional differences are the main reason for affecting the geographical fairness of medical resource allocation in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals.
