Investigation on epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of patients with hypertension patients in detention house

Abstract：Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of hypertension patients in detention house, provide evidence for formulating medical strategies for hypertension patients in detention house.Methods From May 2016 to April 2018, 372 patients with hypertension were selected, including 314 males and 58 females.The clinical data of patients with hypertension in custody were analyzed retrospectively.Logistic multivariate regression was used to analyze the risk factors and the data of patients with hypertension after treatment.Results The average age of patients with hypertension in detention house was (42.62±9.89), and the mean course of disease was (6.25±2.47).The prevalence of male was higher than that in female, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or diabetes accounted for 14.52％.The rate of health education and cognition/compliance was 52.42％, the treatment rate was 58.87％, and the blood pressure was basically controlled in 320 cases (86.02％).The blood pressure control rates of the patients with smoking, drug abuse history, serious cases and severe anxiety were low, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).The control rates of hypertension were higher in patients with family history of hypertension, high education level and patients receiving antihypertensive drugs, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion The condition of hypertension patients in detention house is complicated, so it is necessary to formulate effective health education and comprehensive intervention to improve the control rate of hypertension according to the relevant risk factors.
