Abstract:Objective To understand the vaccination status among children entering kindergarten in Yinzhou district of Ningbo city and provide a basis for immunization management of kindergartens. Methods A stratified cluster random sampling was used to select 1174 children from 42 kindergartens to conduct a survey of vaccination status. Results The vaccination certificate holding rate was 100% and the information system registered rate was 98. 55%. The vaccination rates of 19 doses of expanded immunization programed vaccine ( NIPV) were all over 98%, except the vaccination rate of first-dose group A and C meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine ( Men AC1). The timely vaccination rate of first-dose measles-containing vaccine ( MCV1) was 93. 19%. The coverage rate of fourth-dose poliovirus vaccine ( PV4) and 8 fully-immunized vaccines were 31. 52% and 97. 61%. The coverage rate of first-dose varicella vaccine ( Var V1) and second-dose varicella vaccine ( Var V2) were 97. 96% and 81. 01%. The coverage rate of influenza vaccine ( In FV) was 32. 54%, but the rate was 12.01% when the time of inoculation limited in 2015. The coverage rate of PV4 and the timely vaccination coverage rate of MCV1 were higher in local children than that in migrant children ( χ2= 28. 32, 9. 54, P < 0. 05), in state-run kindergartens than that in private kindergartens ( χ2= 10. 21, 6. 23, P < 0. 05). Conclusions The vaccination rates of NIPV and Var V1 were at a high level, the Var V2 at a middle level and the In FV at a low level among children entering kindergarten in Yinzhou. The vaccination certificate inspection could significantly increase vaccine coverage of children entering kindergarten. Vaccination certificate inspection should be implemented and the health education of varicella vaccine immunization and influenza vaccination should be carried out.
