Experiment on the Cultivation of Auricularia auricula Using Chestnut Sawdust

Abstract:The chestnut planting area in Linyi city is large, and a large amount of chestnut branches accumulate in the fields, causing serious resource waste. To fully utilize this resource and broaden the options for A.auricula cultivation substrates, this study set up formulations with different proportions of chestnut sawdust in the cultivation material(0%,10%,20%,30%,40%,50%,60%,70%)to investigate the effects of adding different proportions of chestnut sawdust on the growth and yield of A.auricula.The results showed that the mycelial growth rate of the formulation with 40%chestnut sawdust had no significant difference from that of the 20%formulation,but was higher than the remaining formulations, and the time to full bag colonization was 1-2 days earlier than the other formulations, and the fresh ear length had no significant difference from CK and the 30%formulation,but was longer than the other formulations, and the fresh ear width was essentially the same as CK,and both width and thickness were better than the other formulations, and the fresh ear yield was 822.72 g/bag higher than the other formulations, and the biological efficiency(96.35%)was also higher than the other formulations.Comprehensive analysis indicated that under the conditions of 40%chestnut sawdust and 45%apple sawdust, relatively ideal economic benefits could be achieved.
