Abstract:Factory-based seedling cultivation of eggplant demands high standards for standardized production and requires precise environmental control. However, current conditions for eggplant seed germination, particularly temperature and humidity, are primarily based on empirical data, which lacks precision and affects the efficiency of factory-based seedling cultivation. To investigate the effects of different temperatures and humidity levels on eggplant seed germination, various temperature gradients(16,20,24,26,28,30,32,34 and 36 ℃)and humidity gradients(20%,40%,60%,80%,100%and 120%)were established to analyze the effects of different temperature and humidity treatments on indicators such as the time to germination, germination rate, germination vigor, and radicle length of eggplant seeds. The results showed that the germination rate of eggplant seeds peaked at 28 ℃,with germination beginning on the 8th day and reaching 86.67%by the 14th day, while the radicle length reached 4.36 cm;at 80%humidity,the germination rate also peaked, with germination beginning on the 8th day and reaching 93.33%by the 14th day, with a radicle length of 4.19 cm.Regression analysis results indicated that the optimal germination temperature for eggplant seeds was 26.0℃,and the optimal germination humidity was 80.6%.By analyzing the effects of temperature, humidity, and exposure duration on eggplant seed germination, this study provides a reference for the precise environmental control of factory-based seedling cultivation, with the aim of enhancing seedling production efficiency.
