Research on Salt Tolerance of Different Pepper Rootstock Varieties

Abstract：To screen the pepper rootstock varieties with high grafting survival rate and strong salt tolerance,the introduced rootstock varieties'ZM01''ZM02''ZM03''Bilina'and'Tengben 01'were used as materials to compare grafting compatibility with'Zhongjiao 409'.The pepper seedlings grafted with different rootstocks were treated with different concentrations of sodium chloride solution to compare salt tolerance of the self-rooted seedlings and the grafted seedlings.The results showed that the rootstock varieties had a high affinity with'Zhongjiao 409',and the grafting survival rate was greater than 89％,with the highest reaching 96％.After different concentrations of sodium chloride solution stress treatment,the seedling vigor index of pepper grafted seedlings and self-rooted seedlings decreased with the increase of salt concentration,the content of protein and malondialdehyde first increased and then decreased.Peroxidase,superoxide dismutase,and catalase showed a trend of gradual increase.After treatment with clear water and 30％sodium chloride solution,the growth index of self-rooted seedlings was better than that of grafted seedlings,and growth index and physiological index of grafted seedlings were higher than that of self-rooted seedlings with the gradual increase of sodium chloride solution concentration.Among the rootstock varieties,'ZM01'and'ZM02'showed the best performance.
