Different Reflective Films on Fruit Quality of'Miyafuji'Apple

Abstract：During the long-term planting process,dwarf and densely planted apple orchards gradually become closed,leading to insufficient light and affecting fruit coloring and marketability.Laying reflective film can significantly improve the net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance of trees,and enhance the commercial value of fruits.To investigate the effect of different reflective films on the quality of'Miyafuji'apples,this experiment tested two types of reflective films(silver plated reflective film and high-density polyethylene reflective film),with no agricultural film and manual weeding as controls,to determine changes in apple fruit coloring and content.The results showed that the application of reflective film significantly improved the red coloration(a*)of apples by 164.18％-184.59％,enhanced color saturation by 8.29％-10.96％,and increased glucose content by 16.18％-25.84％.High-density polyethylene reflective film markedly elevated the contents of glucose,sucrose and sorbitol in fruit by 25.84％,79.14％and 238.12％,respectively.However,reflective film application decreased fruit surface brightness:the silver coated reflective film reduced brightness by 22.92％,which was 3.42％lower than that of high-density polyethylene reflective film.These findings provided a theoretical basis for optimizing fruit quality and improving commodity value in apple production.
