Abstract:Postharvest strawberries are susceptible to fungal infection, leading to rot and deterioration, which reduces fruit quality and compromises food safety.Conventional chemical pesticides have disadvantages such as high toxicity and high residue levels, making them unable to meet the requirements of green preservation. Therefore,it is necessary to conduct research on the antifungal activity of botanical pesticides. To explore the antifungal effect of total flavonoids from Houttuynia cordata(TFC)on postharvest strawberry fungal diseases,in vitro antifungal experiments were carried out by the mycelial growth rate method. The results showed that at 24 h and 48 h,TFC concentration was positively correlated with the antifungal effect, and the antifungal effect was negatively correlated with the incubation time.TFC exhibited inhibitory activity against three diseases(phytophthora blight, soft rot, gray mold). The antifungal effect was optimal at a treatment concentration of 24 mg/mL at both 24 h and 48 h.The order of susceptibility at both 24 h and 48 h was gray mold, soft rot,and blight. In conclusion,TFC exhibited significant antifungal activity against postharvest fungal diseases of strawberry at 24 h and 48 h.
