Abstract:As a characteristic and high-quality citrus variety in China,Citrus sinensis'Bingtang'(Bingtang orange)holds a significant position in citrus production. This article systematically reviewed the varietal characteristics of Bingtang orange and the factors influencing its fruit quality.Studies on varietal analysis indicated that the 11 current Bingtang orange varietied primarily originate from bud mutation breeding, with variations in fruit traits:fruit weight ranged from 114.5 to 230 g,the sugar-acid ratio from 12%to 16%,and titratable acid content from 0.20%to 0.71%.Fruit quality was influenced by various factors, including genetic traits, soil fertility, cultivation practices, climatic conditions.Research had elucidated the physiological and molecular mechanisms underlying the formation of traits such as low acidity and large fruit size(e.g.,regulated by genes such as PH8 and AA27).It had also confirmed the decisive impact of soil nutrients, key cultivation practices, application of exogenous hormones and specific climatic factors(e.g.,temperature differences and sunlight exposure)on fruit quality.Post-harvest research has developed intelligent grading technologies based on spectroscopy and image recognition, while also exploring green alternative preservation materials and optimal storage temperatures.Future efforts should focus on targeted breeding,cross-regional trials, precision cultivation to promote high-quality development of the industry.
