Research Progress of Fucoidan in Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition

Abstract：Fucoidan,a polysaccharide composed of fucose polymers,exhibits diverse bioactive properties and has been widely utilized in food processing and pharmaceutical applications.However,a systematic review of its roles in sports medicine and exercise nutrition remains scarce.This review synthesized recent advancements in understanding fucoidan's efficacy in enhancing athletic performance,accelerating post-exercise recovery,and attenuating exercise-induced inflammation and oxidative stress.By consolidating these findings,this work aimed to establish a theoretical framework and inform the strategic development of novel sports nutrition supplements and rehabilitation formulations.
