Research Progress on Postharvest Storage and Preservation of Sweet Cherry

Abstract：Shandong province,as the core production area for sweet cherries in China,faces numerous challenges in its industrial development recently.Particularly,the postharvest perishability and poor storability of the fruit,coupled with relatively lagging preservation technologies,severely restrict the healthy and rapid development of the sweet cherry industry.This study focused on the postharvest storage and preservation of sweet cherries in Shandong.It systematically analyzed the key factors affecting storage and preservation efficacy and summarized the current preservation technologies for sweet cherries,including physical,chemical,and biological preservation methods.The aim was to provide a reference for future research on postharvest storage and preservation techniques for sweet cherries in Shandong province.
