Comparative Study on the Adaptability and Commerciality of Different Chinese Cabbage Varieties

Abstract:Through the comparison of newly bred Chinese cabbage varieties planted in autumn in southwestern Shandong province,differences in key indicators such as yield and quality were compared to screen out Chinese cabbage varieties suitable for autumn planting in this region.The results showed that the whole growth period of'Gaoqiubai No.1'was 85.3 d,the harvest period was more than 29.8 d,the net vegetable yield at maturity reached 11 741.3 kg/667 m2,the net vegetable rate was 69.8%,the proportion of edible parts was relatively large,and the economic benefits were obvious.It had a short cylindrical shape,a tight leaf head,a fuller appearance,was resistant to storage and transportation,and was the preferred varieties for autumn planting in south western Shandong.
