Abstract:Longdong area is the dominant growing area of apple in Loess plateau. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between leaf traits and soil trace elements in apple orchards within a specific region, and to explore the primary soil trace element factors influencing leaf traits in upright-growing and dwarf-dense apple orchards. The results showed that there were no significant differences in the contents of nutrient elements(N,Ca,Mg),leaf basic traits(fresh mass, dry mass, water content, leaf area, chlorophyll content)and soil trace elements(Cu,Zn,B,Mo,S and Mn)in the leaves except for the leaf content of P and Cl in the soil(arborization orchard>dwarf orchard). The contents of Zn and Cl in soil were mainly affected by the soil trace elements of arborizationand dwarf orchard, and the least influential factor was soil S content. This research holded significant importance for guiding scientific management of apple orchards in the Loess plateau region and improving the production efficiency of the fruit industry.
