Research Status and Countermeasures of the Application of Medicinal and Food Homologous Substances and By-products in China

Abstract：With the strategy of"Healthy China"and the rapid development of food science and technology,China's development of medicinal and food ingredients has been increasing,and a large number of by-products generated in the processing process are not fully utilized.In this paper,the research status of comprehensive utilization of by-products of five kinds of medicinal and foodstuff substances,namely,semen ziziphi spinosae,Pueraria lobata,pomegranate,Zanthoxylum bungeanum and polygonatum,for example,was reviewed,the current problems in the field were summarized,and the application of by-products of medicinal and foodstuff substances was prospected with a view to improving the efficiency of their comprehensive utilization and reducing the pollution to the environment.
