Abstract:Saponins from L. were extracted with water, methanol and ethanol, respectively, and their free radical scavenging activity was also studied in this paper. The experiment's results showed that saponins could be extracted form L. using different solvent. However, the extracting yield of ethanol and methanol were higher than water ( ≤0.01). In the present study, there were dose-effect relationships between free radical scavenging activity and the concentration of saponins of L., and its scavenging activity was weaker than that of Vc ( ≤0.01).
