Effect of Chitin on Vegetable Resistance Index

Abstract：In this paper, effect of chitin on vegetable resistance index was studied. The result showed that chitin increased the content of proline in tomato leaves, and decreased the content of MDA and electrolytic leakage. Proline content in tomato was significantly increased with chitin application. Chitin also increased proline content in Chinese cabbage leaves, and decreased the MDA content, improving its cold-resistance.
