Determination of Rutin in Different Periods of Var.inermis Leaf by HPLC

Abstract：The rutin content from <br> var.inermis leaf were determined by using HPLC. The best <br> chromatographic conditions were: the wavelength 360nm, the mobile phase methanol:water (43:57), the column temperature 30℃, and the flow rate 1.0mL/min. Under the conditions, the calibration curves were linear in the range of 0.005~0.17mg/mL for rutin, the correlation coefficient was 0.9990 and the recovery rates and RSD were 100.6%and 1.8%, respectively. Experimental results showed that no significant difference of rutin was found in <br> var.inermis leaves that cultivated in the open air and forest lands. In addition, the rutin contents reached the highest values in August, which were 5.40mg/g and 1.65mg/g, respectively.
