Abstract：Salvia miltiorrhiza is one of the traditional Chinese herbal medicines, which has a long application record. There has been a long history of planting salvia miltiorrhiza in Yimengshan mountain of Shandong province. Planting area and yield of salvia miltiorrhiza were increasing year by year. The producing area of salvia miltiorrhiza distribution, growth characteristics and production status, as well as its high yield cultivation techniques were introduced in this paper.
