Production of Chinese Yam Powder with Method of Drum Dryer

Abstract：We studied the technology of processing Chinese yam powder using a drum dryer in this paper. The effects of supplementary material addition content, roller rotating speed, roller temperature on the technology were analyzed with response surface methodology, and film-forming rate of Chinese yam powder were taken as response values. For design of process requirement, optimum conditions were as follows: supplementary material addition was 15%, roller temperature was 135℃, roller rotating speed was 3.0r/min. Under those conditions, film-forming rate of Chinese yam powder was 95.6±0.6%.
