Abstract:Fructus Lycii polysaccharides(FLP) were separated by DEAE-cellulose(OH-) chromatography, and hydrolyzed by acid and protease methods. The FLP fractions were observed by GC and AFM, and their antioxidant activities were determined by antioxidant assays. The results showed that acid and protease treatment could degrade the polysaccharide molecule. However, acid treatment could increase the content of uronic acid in polysaccharide and the molecule aggregation degree. The inhibition ability of FLP on lipid peroxidation was enhanced with the increase in the content of uronic acid and protein;while the ·O2-scavenging ability of FLP was not affected by the content of uronic acid and protein in FLP.
