Preparation and Characterization of Rutile Titania Ultrafine Powders

Abstract：The precursor of TiO2 ultrafine particles，titanium hydroxides，is synthesized by using matatitanic acid as raw material．The measurements of XRD，TG－DTA and TEM are used to characterize the particles．The results show that the hydroxide particles dried at 100℃ and calcined at 300～600℃ are all rutile phase．The particle size of the samples calcined at 500℃ is 10～20nm，and the size distribution is uniform．
