Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of rubella cases in Dingxi from 2011 to 2023,and to monitor the genotype of confirmed rubella cases.METHODS Descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the incidence rate, epidemiological characteristics and immune history of rubella cases in Dingxi.RESULTS A total of 1 155 rubella cases were reported in Dingxi from 2011 to 2003,with an average annual incidence rate of 2.95/105.The incidence rate of rubella remained at a very low level from 2011 to 2018,and the incidence rate of rubella reached the highest level in history in 2019.Rubella cases had been reported in every month of the year, but there was a clear seasonal pattern, mainly concentrated from March to June. All counties and districts in Dingxi had reported cases of rubella, and Zhangxian County had the highest incidence rate. The age of onset is mainly between 12 and 23 years old, accounting for 94.64% of the total case. The main affected population was students, accounting for 97.40% of the total cases.92.64% of cases had no history of immunization with vaccines containing rubella components(RCV)or unknown immunization history. The genotypes of rubella virus strains in Dingxi were 1E and 2B genotypes.CONCLUSION The rubella epidemic in Dingxi shows obvious age clustering and immune gaps, and it is necessary to strengthen vaccination among young people and school epidemic prevention and control..
