Visual Analysis of Nursing Research on Young and Middle-Aged Cancer Patients Based on Web of Science

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the development of nursing-related research on young and middle-aged cancer patients,with the aim of providing a basis for future studies in this area.METHODS Using CiteSpace 6.3.R1 software,this study examined publications on nursing research related to young and middle-aged cancer patients from January 2005 to December 2024 in the Web of Science Core Collection.The analysis focused on publication volume,authors,countries,institutions,and keywords.RESULTS The annual number of publications on nursing research for young and middle-aged cancer patients had shown a fluctuating upward trend.However,connections and collaborations among authors,institutions,and countries remained weak.Research hotspots mainly included patients' psychological state,quality of life,financial toxicity,social support,decision-making,and physical symptoms.CONCLUSION Increasing attention is being paid to young and middle-aged cancer patients in the field of nursing research.It is recommended that future studies strengthen collaboration among authors,institutions,and countries to jointly explore effective methods for alleviating physical symptoms,improving psychological resilience,providing social support,and facilitating informed decision-making.These efforts aim to improve patients' quality of life and support their return to normal life and work.
