Analysis of the Monitoring Results of Common Diseases Among Students in A Certain Street in Qingpu District of Shanghai from 2019 to 2023

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To understand the prevalence of common diseases among students in a street in Qingpu District of Shanghai,and control of common diseases among students.METHODS From 2019 to 2023,6 628 students at 4 national monitoring schools in a street of Qingpu District were selected to monitor common diseases.The x2 test was used to compare the detection rates of common diseases among primary and secondary school students in different grades,genders,and years.RESULTS From 2019 to 2023,the detection rates of common diseases among students in a street in Qingpu District,from high to low,were as follows:low vision(77.55%),dental caries(27.05%),obesity(17.44%),malnutrition(8.57%),and abnormal spinal curvature(1.03%).The overall detection rate of low vision among students in different stages was highest in high schools(88.97%),while the detection rates of malnutrition and overweight were highest in vocational schools(19.50%,13.97%)The detection rates of obesity and dental caries were highest in primary schools(21.60%,36.36%).Abnormal spinal curvature was maintained at a high level in junior high schools,high schools,and vocational schools;the detection rates of low vision and dental caries in girls(78.58%,28.34%)were higher than those in boys(76.62%,25.88%),and the detection rates of overweight and obesity in boys(20.34%,21.83%)were higher than those in girls(13.16%,12.58%).The detection rates of low vision and dental caries were the highest in 2020(83.14%,35.67%),the detection rate of malnutrition was the highest in 2019(10.12%),and the detection rates of obesity and abnormal spinal curvature were the highest in 2022(29.90%,1.98%).CONCLUSION The detection rates of common diseases such as poor eyesight,dental caries and obesity among primary and secondary school students in a certain street of Qingpu District are relatively high.Targeted intervention activities should be carried out as soon as possible to further strengthen the prevention and treatment of common diseases among students and gradually reverse the increasing trend of the prevalence of common diseases among students.
