Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the prevalence of depressive symptoms and associated influencing factors among mid-dle-aged and elderly patients with comorbid hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia("three high").METHODS Utilizing data from the fifth wave(2020)of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS),it selected participants aged≥45 years concurrently diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia. The prevalence rate of depressive symptoms was calcu-lated,and multivariate logistic regression analysis was employed to identify independent risk factors.RESULTS A total of 751 eligi-ble participants were included, with a depressive symptom prevalence rate of 46.07%.The results of multi-factor logistic regression analysis showed that living in rural areas and having limitations in activities of daily living were risk factors for depression.Sleep du-ration ≥6 hours, being male, and having a high self-rated health status were protective factors against depression.CONCLUSION The detection rate of depression in middle-aged and elderly patients with comorbid"three highs"in China is relatively high.It is necessary to strengthen the assessment of depressive symptoms in this group, focusing on middle-aged and elderly patients with"three highs"comorbidities in rural areas, short sleep time and impaired ability to live, and taking targeted measures to ensure their mental health.
