Investigation of the Current Situation of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Primary and Secondary Schools and Childcare Institutions in Huining County

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To investigate the current situation of prevention and control of infectious diseases in primary and secondary schools and childcare institutions in the Huining county of Gansu province,and to provide a basis for formulating and adopting targeted measures.METHODS A questionnaire was developed by reviewing the literature,and the investigators were surveyed on the spot after unified training,and the database was established with Excel 2019 and SPSS 23.0 for statistical analysis.RESULTS Among the 215 institutions in the county,the configuration rate of school doctors/health rooms was 65.58%(11.63%school doctor rooms),the area compliance rate was 44.65%,and the rate of complete facilities was 50%.The rate of school doctors/health teachers'allocation was 39.07%(7.91%full-time),the rate of holding certificates was 25.12%,the rate of being on the official payroll was 22.79%,and the rate of training was 33.95%.The rate of establishing systems:the rate of infectious disease prevention plans(99.53%),the rate of public health emergency plans(95.81%),the rate of key disease prevention plans(81.86%),the rate of morning and afternoon health checks(97.21%),the rate of cause investigation(98.60%),the rate of disinfection(98.14%),and All of them were above 95%,and the rate of environmental inspection and notification was the lowest at 95.35%.The implementation of measures:the rate of morning and afternoon health checks was 94.88%;the rate of case isolation was 82.33%;the rate of epidemic reporting was 60.93%;the rate of re-entry certificates was 77.67%;the rate of public disinfection was 85.12%;the rate of vomit handling was 88.84%;the rate of emergency drills was 82.79%;the rate of material reserves was 93.95%;the rate of vaccination certificates was 99.43%(with the rate of supplementary vaccination notices being 98.29%,and the rate of reaching the standard being≥90%accounting for 96.00%),and the rate of daily ventilation was the highest at 99.53%.CONCLUSION The infrastructure for infectious disease prevention and control in primary and secondary schools and childrcare institutions is weak,the allocation of health personnel is seriously insufficient and their professional qualities are not high,and the allocation of resources in urban areas is much higher than in rural areas.The establishment rate of systems is much higher than the implementation rate of measures.The proportion of infectious disease prevention and control capabilities in all school work should be optimized,and supervision and investment should be increased.
