Analysis of Factors Affecting Late Presentation of Female Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients of Xiajiang County

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To explore the related factors affecting the delay in seeing a doctor in female patients with tuberculosis,and to analyze the targeted health education nursing management strategy.METHODS A total of 102 female patients with pulmonary tuberculosis who came to Xiajiang County Center for Disease Control and Prevention from 2019 to 2023 were selected as the study objects.Their general data and disease treatment status were statistically analyzed,and the factors related to delayed treatment were analyzed by univariate analysis and logistic multivariate modle regression.RESULTS Among 102 patients,49 were delayed,and the delay rate was 48.04%.Univariate analysis showed that there was statistical significance in the delay rate of treatment among patients with different age,nationality,monthly income,patient source,disease type,treatment classification,whether they knew about tuberculosis and whether they had medical insurance,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that the age of the patients(46～72 years old),monthly income(≤2 000 yuan),patient origin(diagnosis and follow-up),disease classification(Ⅱ～Ⅳ),treatment stage,and knowledge of pulmonary tuberculosis were all independent factors affecting whether female pulmonary tuberculosis patients were delayed in seeing a doctor,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).CONCLUSION The delay rate of female tuberculosis patients is high,which is closely related to the age of patients,income level,source of patients,disease classification,stage of treatment of tuberculosis and knowledge level of tuberculosis related factors,etc.It is suggested to pay attention to the above factors related to delay of female tuberculosis patients,strengthen health care education and tracking management.
