Analysis of the Current Treatment Status of Previously Reported Cases of Hepatitis C Virus in Jianshui County

Abstract：OBJETIVE To analyze the treatment status and influencing factors of previous hepatitis C cases in Jianshui County,provide scientific basis for the precise implementation of hepatitis C prevention and control work.METHODS 247 previously reported cases of hepatitis C in Jianshui County from 2004 to 2022 were randomly selected for a questionnaire survey.The factors influencing the treatment of hepatitis C cases were analyzed using χ2 test and logistic regression model.RESULTS Among the hepatitis C cases surveyed,46.3%had received treatment for hepatitis C.The logistic regression results showed that individuals with a monthly income of over 3 000 yuan,previous HCV-RNA testing,and high knowledge of hepatitis C had a higher probability of receiving treatment.CONCLUSION The hepatitis C epidemic in Jianshui County is severe,with multiple factors affecting treatment and heavy prevention and control tasks.The health administrative department needs to play an organizational and coordination role,and medical institutions and disease control institutions need to leverage their respective professional advantages to refine case diagnosis,treatment,management,follow-up,regularly communicate and consult,and timely solve difficulties in work.Deepen the integration of medical and preventive measures,ensure the implementation of the responsibility list for infectious disease prevention and control in medical institutions,and strengthen the responsibility system of first visit doctors.Explore multiple channels to introduce projects or funds to reduce the cost of treating hepatitis C cases.Explore and learn from the effective work experience formed in the prevention and control of AIDS,and classify the management of hepatitis C cases,especially focusing on health education and policy support for drug users,HIV infected people/AIDS patients,low-income people and other key groups.Intensify publicity,education,and behavioral intervention efforts for the general population.
