Analysis of Epidemiology Characteristics of Influenza in Xing'an League of Inner Mongolia from 2019 to 2023

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological and etiological characteristics of influenzain Inner Mongolia Xing'an League from 2019 to 2023 and to summarize the epidemic patterns,and to provide a scientic basis for the prevention and control of influenza.METHODS Using descriptive epidemiological methods,an analysis was conducted on the reported data of influenza cases,sentinel hospital influenza-like illness(ILI)cases,and etiological test results from 2019 to 2023.RESULTS A total of 6 790 influenza cases were reported in Inner Mongolia Xing'an League from 2019 to 2023,and the annual incidence rate was 91.22/105.The gender ratio of male to female cases was 1.11∶1.The epidemic period was mainly distributed in winter and spring,Coinciding with the northern season.Higher incidence was reported in the age group of 0～10 years old.The occupation was mainly for amongstudents,scattered-living children and kindergarten children.Spatio-temporal scanning revealed temporal clustering in Ulanhot,Keyou Front Banner,and Tu quan County.From 2019 to 2023,a total of 46 651 influenza-like illness(ILI)cases were reported in Inner Mongolia Xing'an League and the average ILI%was 2.02%.A total of 9 082 specimens were collected for nucleic acid testing,with 1 005 positive specimens detected,resulting in a positive detection rate of 11.07%.The prevalent virus strains alternate between A(H3N2),A(H1N1),and B(Victoria).CONCLUSION There is a marked seasonality in flu outbreaks in Xing'an League of Inner Mongolia from 2019 to 2023,Spatio-temporal clustering analysis reveals the clustering areas and clustering time of influenza,We should continue to strengthen monitoring and early warning,do a good job in preventing influenza in childcare and educational institutions,and promote vaccination and health education to reduce the incidence of influenza.
