Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and trend changes of influenza in Xincheng District,Xi'an of Shaanxi from 2013 to 2022,and to provide data support and basis for the scientific prevention and control of regional influ-ence.METHODS The influenza incidence data of Xincheng District from 2013 to 2022 were used, combined with the demographic data of Xincheng District in the Xi'an Statistical Yearbook,to describe the epidemiological characteristics. The Joinpoint regression model was used to analyze the changing trends of incidence and the number of cases.RESULTS From 2013 to 2022,a total of 1 593 influenza cases which current addressed in Xincheng District of Xi'an were diagnosed and reported by medical institutions, with an annual average reported incidence of 25.55/105.The overall incidence showed a significant upward trend(APC=27.39,95%CI:14.41~41.62,P<0.05).The incidence trend in different gender groups was consistent with the overall incidence trend, showing an upward trend. The male inflection point appeared in 2015(APC=-34.63,95%CI:-49.93~-10.02,P<0.05)and 2018(APC=104.27,95%CI:64.23~139.15,P<0.05),and the female inflection point occurred in 2015 and 2019(APC=49.12,95%CI:38.14~73.54,P<0.05).By age group, the 5~14-year-old preschool children and younger students had the highest growth rate of incidence over the 10 years, and the population over 60 years old had an inflection point in 2019,showing an overall trend of first rising and then slowly declining.CONCLUSION The incidence of influenza in Xincheng District,Xi'an from 2013 to 2022 showed an overall upward trend.Preschool children and primary and secondary school students under 18 years old living in the community are key groups for prevention and control, and protective measures should be targeted. The COVID-19 prevention and control period had an inhibitory effect on the incidence of influenza, and a rapid increase occurred later due to the decline in the immunity level of the population.
