Analysis of the Effectiveness of Urban Rural Integration Management of Maternal and Child Health Care Services in Rizhao

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To understand the level of maternal and child health services in urban and rural areas of Rizhao,and provide scientific basis for the health administrative department to formulate integrated management measures.METHODS Collect maternal and child health information report in Rizhao from 2019 to 2023,analyze indicators such as maternal and child health,and use TOPSIS method to comprehensively evaluate the quality of maternal and child health services.RESULTS From 2019 to 2023,indicators such as maternal and child health care in urban and rural areas showed varying degrees of increase.In 2023,the early pregnancy registration rate,prenatal examination rate,postpartum visit rate,systematic management rate,newborn visit rate,systematic management rate for children under 3 years old,and health management rate for children under 7 years old in urban areas increased to 98.43%,98.10%,98.36%,97.06%,99.14%,98.28%,and 98.17%,while in rural areas they increased to 99.62%,98.15%,97.21%,96.13%,98.09%,96.72%,and 98.03%.Except for a slight increase of the early pregnancy registration rate for the gap between urban and rural areas,the others were gradually narrowing.In 2019,the maternal mortality rate and the mortality rate of children under five in rural areas were significantly higher than those in urban areas.By 2023,the rates had gradually became equal.The best years for the quality of maternal and child health care services in urban and rural areas were 2023 and 2022 respectively,with Ci values of 0.999 and 0.870.CONCLUSION From 2019 to 2023,the level of maternal and child health care services in Rizhao has been continuously improving,and the gap between urban and rural areas has been gradually narrowing.The effect of integrated urban-rural management is relatively obvious.However,there is still a certain gap in the rescue and management of critical and severe cases between urban and rural areas,and targeted measures need to be further taken to improve the level of critical and severe case treatment.
