Analysis of Physical Examination Results of Preschool Children in 60 Kindergartens in Changping Town of Dongguan from 2022 to 2024

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To analyze the health status of children who underwent physical examinations in Changping Town of Dongguan from 2022 to 2024,and to provide a basis for health management of children in kindergartens.METHODS Extract the physical examination data of 60 kindergartens in Changping Town from 2022 to 2024,including,height、weight、nude eye vision examination(children≥4 years old)、oral examinations etc,and analyze the differences in disease detection rates through χ2 tests.RESULTS Among the kindergarten children who underwent physical examinations in Changping Town of Dongguan from 2022 to 2024,the overweight rate was 6.1%～5.0%,the obesity rate was 4.0%～3.1%,and the growth retardation rate was 1.2%～0.8%,all showing a decreasing trend(χ2=32.40,18.04,14.68,P＜0.05).The wasting rate was 2.7%～3.7%,showing an increasing trend(χ2=32.53,P＜0.05).The low weight rate was 1.4%～1.5%,with no statistically significant difference(χ2=0.42,P＞0.05).In oral examinations,the dental caries rate was 43.1%～41.0%,showing a decreasing trend(χ2=18.43,P＜0.05).In hemoglobin tests,the mild anemia rate was 12.0%～18.0%,showing an increasing trend(χ2=326.55,P＜0.05).The moderate-to-severe anemia rate remained at 0.1%for three years.In vision tests,the subnormal vision rate was 33.6%～43.2%,showing an increasing trend(χ2=288.40,P＜0.05).In refractive screenings,the refractive error rate was 11.4%～9.3%,showing a slight decreasing trend(χ2=39.9,P＜0.05).CONCLUSION The overall health status of children who underwent physical examinations in 60 kindergartens in Changping Town from 2022 to 2024 was good.However,there was a significant increasing trend in subnormal vision among preschool children,indicating that eye health care for children needs to be further strengthened in the future.
